Roxie(and all) we had a great time!! I met Hershey again, and also Panther,
Nubie and "L"!!Hershey, "L" and Lupe went on the Dash. Folks asked us along the way about
our hairless gang! LOL They said around 1500 dogs there, but we all think 15,000 was more like it!
LOL Dogs all over the place!! We took lots of pics....Had a nice visit with Janet and Doyle, and it was nice to finally meet Chris!! It's perfect warm weather today in Portland! Fiya was her sweet self, but Lupe had her moments!! All my guests were soooo sweet! Bry wouldn't go with us, but did enjoy seeing more hairless kids!!

Gary!

And all the doggies cooling off

As Gary said earlier, we had a great time at the doggie dash. The announcer said there were 1400 entries but we all saw a lot more so either he goofed or lots of people showed up who didnt pay. But the sidewalk was one mass of humanity and doggiedom as far as you could see down the road. There were lots of kiddie pools filled with lots of small bowls beside them for drinking. However, lots of those water dog breeds decided those pools looked real inviting and they stepped right in and sat down to soak!! A video camera was shooting them and we told him we had some hairless dogs he could video - which he did. Did any of the Portlanders see ourhairless critters on tv?

Since we could only sign up one dog per human, I had to leave two at Gary's. So I decided to take "L" with me to see how she would do. She was actually quite intimidated by the the huge crowd and all the visual
commotion. She kept trying to jump up on me trying to get me to hold her. But I would just pat her head to reassure her. When we walked on the riverside walk which has a fenced wall, she kept herself glued to that wall. I guess that way she was keeping all those people/dogs on just one side. It was interesting to see her reaction to such a huge crowd. She definitely fell in love with Doyle, Janet's husband! She was quite
smitten by him. She liked Janet also but Doyle was her buddy!!

We tried to get a group shot of our three dogs but Lupe wasn't buying into that at all!! We tried and tried but to no avail. We were able to get Hershey and "L" together, and Lupe by herself but not all 3 together.
Back at Gary's we did managed to get a shot of all the dogs - Fiya, Lupe, Hershey, Panther, Nubie, and "L" with their humans in Gary and Bry's luscious back yard!! I have my pics developed and will send some to Roxie/Gary shortly for them to post.

Gary also has the coolest shirt that he bought on ebay. Its a line drawing of a xolo and the shirt says "Can you say Xoloitzcuintli 3x very fast?" I like that idea for a shirt. What do the rest of you think?

Chris
