It is my desire to brag on my Xolos. Quetzall is quite aware of the time of day and what goes on in his surroundings. He follows me constantly from room to room in the house and garden. He is aware of when my intentions are to go in the car and needs no invitation to join me. No, he just stands for me to put on his collar and leash and then jumps into the car and occupies his assigned seat. He loves riding in the car and does not go to sleep but sits attentively looking at the scenery. He is a great watch dog refusing to allow anyone to get near the car without my consent. Quetzal is aware of the time of the day and awaits my husbands arrival from his office each evening which means that he sits at the front door of the house attentively until he hears the sound of the motor of the car and then he begins barking for me to open the door so he can go out to give his greeting. If for some reason I cannot take him along with me when leaving the house, he gives me a sad look but waits at the door for my return. He is a wonderful companion.

Paisana is my new puppy. She is PERFECTION. No less could be expected as she is from Patty's kennel. We have the custom of naming our dogs for birds. Paisana is the old Spanish word for pheasant and it also has a double meaning in the Spanish language also meaning countryman. She is just that for me as an American living in Mexico.

Paisana is adjusting to her home with us in a playful and happy manner. She, like Quetzal, is my companion and lives inside the house. Quetzal is delighted with her and they romp and play together like two puppies. Paisana also plays with one of our cats. It is unbelievable but the cat joins in voluntarily. I am most happy with my Xolos and want you to know about them.

Kojak, Ashley and I have moved. We now live two streets down from
our previous home, but I was worried that since we didn't have a doggie
door that Kojak would have accidents. I'm proud to say that Kojak tells me when he has to go out by scratching at the front door and then coming to me and going back to the door (and he did this all by himself!!!). I know he's not a prize winner or a champion, but he's my little baby and I love him.
